應用閘閥作為放水設備,其本身不能直接安裝,需要與閘閥配套的鋼管和法蘭盤。鋼管可自行設計和加工,其鋼管壁厚應根據使用年限來決定。從實踐中看,用鋼板焊接的鋼管壁厚不應小于10mm,使用鑄鋼件不應小于20mm。法蘭盤一般為鑄鋼件,其作用是將閥門與鋼管聯接在一起,廠家可以直接提供。

一般形式:1、閥門井(塔)。按一般中小型水庫取水塔設計能滿足閘閥安裝、檢修為原則,一般采用方形,其結構計算按水工鋼筋混凝土結構計算。2、輸水洞。按通常的水庫輸水洞設計和計算。3、布置形式。按其位置可分為壩前式、壩中式、壩后式布置。按閥門數量可分為單閥、雙閥式布置。
